Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 23-2 to the Canyon Springs Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nataly Bermudez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Valley's record now sits at 0-16. As for Canyon Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Valley will square off against Boulder City at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine matchups. As for Canyon Springs, they will face off against The Meadows School at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.28 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
