The Pomperaug Panthers will square off against the Immaculate Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pomperaug took on Kolbe-Cathedral on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Immaculate waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Immaculate got a great performance from Maddie Costa as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Costa has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Olivia Lugo was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Cami O'Rourke was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
