Baseball Recap: Carbon Hill Bulldogs vs. Winston County Yellowjackets
Carbon Hill lost against Winston County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Carbon Hill Bulldogs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winston County Yellowjackets.

Ryley Bainbridge put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Bainbridge was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Dayton Miller and Caleb Meeks stepped up to the plate in a big way. Miller scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Meeks went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was Meeks' first of the season.
Carbon Hill's record now sits at 1-4. As for Winston County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will welcome Curry at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winston County, they have already played their next game, a 15-4 win against Meek on the 22nd.
