Volleyball Game Preview: Cowan Blackhawks vs. Wapahani Raiders

Cowan is 1-9 against Wapahani since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Blackhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Cowan took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Shenandoah as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Cowan never let Shenandoah on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Wapahani came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wapahani took every set by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-6, 25-6.

Cowan's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Wapahani, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Cowan suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Wapahani in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Blackhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
