Baseball Recap: Saunders Trades & Tech Comes Up Short

Saunders Trades & Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sleepy Hollow Horsemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Horsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Josh Rattendi was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Alexis Filpo, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Saunders Trades & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sleepy Hollow, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Saunders Trades & Tech will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ossining at 10:00 a.m. on the 26th. As for Sleepy Hollow, they will face off against Ardsley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
