Basketball Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thorp last Tuesday, Spencer came back down to earth. The Spencer Rockets took a 50-35 bruising from the Greenwood Indians on Thursday. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Greenwood, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Spencer will head out to face off against Gilman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spencer is facing Gilman at the right time seeing as Gilman is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greenwood, they will be playing at home against Columbus Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
