Softball Recap: Jefferson County North Has No Trouble Against Atchison County

Jefferson County North lost to Atchison County back in April of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Chargers blew past the Tigers 16-9.

Jefferson County North got a massive performance out of Emmarie Hernandez, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Hernandez a new career-high. Bowie Weishaar was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Jefferson County North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .604. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive games.

Jefferson County North's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-16. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs.
