Volleyball Recap: Sierra Linda Takes a Loss

Sierra Linda lost against Independence on October 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Patriots. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Sierra Linda started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-12.

Saydi Poitier paced Sierra Linda's offense, picking up ten kills. Poitier got some help from Sinais Bernal and her 23 assists. Bernal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sierra Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Independence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Sierra Linda nor Independence have any future games scheduled.
