Softball Game Preview: Upper Lake Cougars vs. Esparto Spartans

The Upper Lake Cougars will face off against the Esparto Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Esparto took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Upper Lake, who comes in off a win.

Upper Lake took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Willows 25-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Esparto lost 16-2 to Woodland Christian on Friday. The Spartans have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Esparto's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Upper Lake, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
