Softball Recap: Wellsville Comes Up Short

If Wellsville was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Jefferson County Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Columbiana Clippers on Wednesday, falling 17-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 18th.

Wellsville has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Columbiana, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Wellsville will face off against Toronto at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbiana, they will take on Howland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
