Basketball Recap: Richards Skates Past Chicago Vocational with Ease

Richards was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Chicago Vocational on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Cavaliers 90-38. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rashaud Lyons was a one-man wrecking crew as he almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayvon Larry, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

The victory got Richards back to even at 1-1. As for Chicago Vocational, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richards will host Hancock at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chicago Vocational, they will welcome Thornwood at 6:40 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
