Baseball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Groesbeck Goats.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Groesbeck, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season.

Rogers will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Groesbeck, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 win against Teague on the 3rd.
