Manitowoc Lincoln extended their losing streak to eight on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 7-16 in the process. They lost 14-0 to the Bay Port Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Saturday.

Manitowoc Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordin Popp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Bay Port, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Bay Port's side, Estelle Finlan and Calli Zimmerman were major factors no matter where they played. Finlan has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. In other batting news, Bay Port got a big performance out of Bobbi Seichter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Seichter has posted since back in April. Elly Rau was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manitowoc Lincoln will head out to take on West De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bay Port, they will challenge Pulaski at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 3.2, the Red Raiders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
