Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour pushed their score to 41 the last time they played Xavier, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. The Seymour Thunder fell 31-21 to the Xavier Hawks. The contest marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Seymour and nudges their season record down to 11-9. As for Xavier, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.

Seymour and Xavier should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Seymour (ranked 156th) will meet Green Bay East (ranked 354th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Xavier will challenge Fox Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 174 places (89 vs. 263).
