Basketball Recap: Algonac Comes Up Short

Algonac lost against North Branch back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Algonac Muskrats were beaten by the North Branch Broncos 72-27. The loss was the Muskrats' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Algonac fell to 2-1. As for North Branch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Algonac will head out on the road to challenge Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Branch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Croswell-Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Croswell-Lexington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully North Branch likes a good challenge.
