Baseball Recap: Bloomington South Takes a Loss

Bloomington South fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Silver Creek on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Keagan Palileo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Arnett, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Bloomington South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Silver Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomington South will face off against Bedford North Lawrence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Silver Creek, they will take on Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
