Basketball Recap: Southland Academy Victorious

Southland Academy lost to Sherwood Christian Academy on January 10th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Southland Academy Raiders came out on top against the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 41-28.

Southland Academy's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-10. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southland Academy will host Southwest Georgia Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Georgia Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Southland Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Georgia Christian at 6:00 p.m.
