Basketball Recap: Derryfield Takes a Loss

Derryfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 80-35 loss at the hands of the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Saints are ranked tenth).

Derryfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

We've got a battle between Cougars coming up. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will take on Somersworth at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
