Softball Recap: Mohawk Area Has No Trouble Against Wilmington

Mohawk Area never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wilmington Greyhounds with a sharp 14-0 victory. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

Lydia Cole was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Granato, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Cole wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mohawk Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Mohawk Area now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wilmington, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Mohawk Area will host Poland Seminary at 11:00 a.m. on April 5. As for Wilmington, they will head out on the road to square off against Shenango at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
