Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre's Big Game Leads Vela over Juarez-Lincoln
Vela picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre. Nobody could stop Creighton Lefevre as he threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Vela pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Creighton Lefevre and Vela will challenge Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jp Garza's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Jp Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The victory was the third in a row for McAllen Memorial, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Garza and McAllen Memorial will be playing at home against Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jonathan Flores and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Jonathan Flores's big game helped extend Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Flores did his part (and then some), rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Juarez-Lincoln, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Flores. When Flores last faced the Huskies back in October of 2023, he rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Rowe picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Adrian Botello. Botello was unstoppable, throwing for 161 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 46 yards.
For the season, Botello has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 105 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to three.

Kane Coy Makes It Two for Mcallen Memorial
