League recap: Prairie View stuns Northglenn in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Prairie View, who took down 118th ranked Northglenn, 56-38.

Keynan Huguley of Thornton ran for the longest rushing play in 5A East Metro this season against Lincoln last week. Huguley's team beat the Lancers as he sprinted for 99 yards on the play and finished with 152 in all.

The Norsemen's dynamic duo of Jordan Radebaugh and Eddie Franco proved tough for the Thunderhawks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Radebaugh threw for 294 yards and three touchdowns and Franco had 156 yards receiving. Adam Adkins helped Northglenn's passing attack out by catching four balls for 84 yards.

J.d. Rosales was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 153 yards on 35 carries as Lincoln lost to Prairie View. Teammate Jeridan Chavez added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.

Scott Gallas's team's Radebaugh and Franco have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Radebaugh has thrown for 1087 yards this season, while Franco, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 22 catches for 480 yards. Patrick Wilson from Westminster leads the league in rushing with 870 yards.

The top two teams in 5A East Metro will face off this week when first place Thornton takes on second place Brighton. Thornton defeated Jesse Hernandez's team last week, while Brighton bested the Wolves.

There should be lots of points scored when Mike Marquez's team and the Bulldogs face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Trojans comes in having scored 219 this season, while Brighton has scored 137. Thornton scored 48 points last week as it defeated the Lancers.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Trojans take on Pat Sandoval's team. Thornton has allowed 55 points this season, while the Bulldogs have given up 104. The Trojans allowed 13 points last week as they topped Lincoln.

Thornton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Lancers, 48-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Trojans.
