Softball Recap: Walsh Jesuit's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Walsh Jesuit's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Boardman Spartans on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since May 24, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Walsh Jesuit fell to 10-1. As for Boardman, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Walsh Jesuit and Boardman should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Warriors will challenge Revere at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 63). Walsh Jesuit is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Minutemen a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Boardman (ranked 11th) will meet Gilmour Academy (ranked 67th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.1, the Lancers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
