Soccer Recap: East Chambers Falls Short of Royal in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Chambers can now relate to. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Royal Falcons who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Royal Falcons got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the East Chambers Buccaneers' four. East Chambers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Royal earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Max Vargas and Francisco Granados scored both of East Chambers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

East Chambers' defeat dropped their record down to 17-4-1. As for Royal, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3-1 record this season.

East Chambers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Royal, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against El Campo on the 28th.
