Basketball Recap: Damoni Hayes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lake Mead Christian Academy + How To Watch

The third road game was the charm for Eldorado, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They secured a 43-39 W over the Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Firehawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Eldorado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damoni Hayes led the charge by dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 boards. Hayes has become a key player for the Firehawks: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kj Washington, who posted 13 points and six assists.

Eldorado was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the loss, Lake Mead Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Dallas Olson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 16 boards. Trystan Rudd was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

The victory got Eldorado back to even at 3-3. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lake Mead Christian Academy and Lincoln County will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Eldorado will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against White Pine, they'll take on Eldorado again at 10:30 a.m. on January 1, 2026.
