Thursday just wasn't the day for Homestead's offense. They fell just short of the Central Noble Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Homestead got a good showing from Chelsie Rosine, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Rosine has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Central Noble, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will challenge Bellmont at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Noble, they will square off against Churubusco at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
