Volleyball Recap: Corona Panthers vs. Centennial Huskies

Corona had lost five straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-22 to make it six. They came up short against the Centennial Huskies, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

As for Centennial, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th (when they won 3-0).

Centennial was led to victory by Adrian Kordvani and Ruben Millan. Kordvani had ten digs and three assists, while Millan had three digs. Those three assists gave Kordvani a new career-high. Jaden Downey also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corona is set to face off against their familiar foe Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centennial will square off against rival King at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
