They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over the Sycamore War Eagles on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Portland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Honeycutt led the charge by going 9 for 13 on his way to 22 points and three steals. The contest was Honeycutt's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keilen Dalton, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
