Volleyball Recap: Weddington Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Weddington rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Providence Panthers 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Weddington never let Providence on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Owen Conklin, who had 14 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Weddington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive contests.

Weddington's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Providence, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

As of now, neither Weddington nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
