Basketball Recap: Walnut Street Christian Comes Up Short

Walnut Street Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Meadowbrook Christian and fell 61-33. If Walnut Street Christian was looking for revenge after losing 65-24 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Walnut Street Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Meadowbrook Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walnut Street Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Belleville Mennonite at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Meadowbrook Christian, they will take on Northumberland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
