Basketball Preview: Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF vs. St. Mary's Academy Crusaders
Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF is 9-1 against the Crusaders since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF will be playing at home against the St. Mary's Academy Crusaders at 8:00 p.m. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Even though Lincoln HomeSchool scored an imposing 67 points on Saturday, Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF still came out on top. Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF walked away with a 74-67 win over the Eagles.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but St. Mary's Academy had to settle for a 51-48 defeat against the Wildcats on Monday.
St. Mary's Academy might have lost, but man, Nick Whitehead was a machine: he scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Whitehead is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Isaac Engholm, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF beat the Crusaders 46-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
