Lynden is 9-1 against Mt. Baker since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Lynden Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Mt. Baker Mountaineers at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lynden has 36 straight victories, Mt. Baker has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Lynden against Meridian as the team secured a 69-20 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Baker was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 44-38 to Oak Harbor.

Lynden's victory was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Mt. Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Everything came up roses for Lynden against Mt. Baker when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 81-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lynden since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
