Preview: Waterloo vs. Geneva

Geneva will challenge Waterloo on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Geneva have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Waterloo are surely hoping to exploit.

Geneva were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their game against Newark last Saturday. Geneva and Newark were almost perfectly matched up, but Geneva suffered an agonizing 12-13 loss. Despite the loss, Geneva saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Wyatt Patchett accumulated 219 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. Patchett has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their match two weeks ago against Wayne, Waterloo were happy to find some success last Friday. Waterloo took their match against Palmyra-Macedon 22-14.

Waterloo's win lifted them to 3-3 while Geneva's defeat dropped them down to 2-4. The Geneva defense got after the quarterback against Newark to the tune of five sacks, so Waterloo's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
