Basketball Recap: Richards' Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Richards entered their game against Longwood on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Richards Warriors fell 61-53 to the Longwood Panthers. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Longwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gholahan Abiola, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Kahlil Leonard, who posted 25 points and seven rebounds.

Richards' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. As for Longwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.

Richards has already played their next contest (against Kennedy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Longwood has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Oak Lawn.
