Football Preview: Provo Bulldogs vs. Uintah Utes
The Provo Bulldogs will square off against the Uintah Utes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Provo has three straight victories, Uintah has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Malik Filimoe'Atu was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ronnie Wright also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.

Despite the defeat, Uintah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lukas Turner picked up four sacks and made eight total tackles. The team also got some help courtesy of Romeo Garcia, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one score.
Uintah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joshua Ellstrom and Oakley Shope. Shope is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another thorn in Salem Hills' side was Turner, who picked up four sacks and made eight total tackles.
Uintah's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Provo, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Provo against Uintah when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 63-27 win. In that game, the Bulldogs amassed a halftime lead of 49-21, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
