Baseball Recap: Osceola Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Osceola ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Tohopekaliga Tigers 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Kowboys in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Ethan Grant made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Osceola is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 0-4 otherwise. Grant was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jacob Ramos was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Alejandro Martinez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Osceola's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Tohopekaliga, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will head out to take on Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tohopekaliga, they will venture away from home to challenge Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tohopekaliga is facing Davenport at the right time seeing as Davenport is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
