Softball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Portland

Portland hadn't done well against Station Camp recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Bison. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Portland's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Station Camp, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Looking ahead, Portland will look to defend their home field on Friday against Creek Wood. The Red Hawks will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
