Softball Recap: Penns Manor Comets vs. Northern Cambria Colts
With a playoff win on the line, Penns Manor rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Northern Cambria Colts. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Comets have posted since April 23, 2024.
Allie Rhea made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over ten innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off two hits. Rhea was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
