Baseball Game Preview: Oakman Wildcats vs. Southeastern Mustangs

The Oakman Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Southeastern Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Oakman is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Corner just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets.

Hampton Hall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Driver, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Southeastern had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over Pleasant Grove on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Jesson Hickman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Adam Kenyon was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Southeastern, their record now sits at 3-5.
