Basketball Recap: Stroud Comes Up Short

Stroud played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Allen Mustangs, falling 73-26. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-11.

Cherish Woodward continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Allen, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Woodward has posted since back in January of 2024. Stoney Cully was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points and five steals.

Stroud has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Allen, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Stroud will head out to face off against Depew at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Depew's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Stroud's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Allen, they will welcome Maud at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
