Recap: Weequahic Indians vs. Science Park Chargers
The Weequahic Indians lost against the Science Park Chargers back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Weequahic took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Science Park. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Weequahic in their matchups with Science Park: they've now lost three in a row.
Weequahic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyhir Barlow, who scored 18 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riyahd Mcdonald, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.
Weequahic's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Science Park, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weequahic will challenge Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Science Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Livingston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Science Park in New Jersey (Livingston is ranked 19th, while Science Park is ranked 68th).
