Wyatt Chanda leads a balanced attack to beat Palm Bay

Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers vs. Palm Bay Pirates

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Victory Christian Academy, the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 55-46 win over Palm Bay. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wyatt Chanda led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds. Chanda continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Martay Barnes, who scored 18 points.

Despite the loss, Palm Bay still got an impressive performance from Elijah Buffong, who scored ten points along with three steals. Aaron Mcgee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Palm Bay, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Central Florida Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Central Florida Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is ranked 35th). As for Palm Bay, they will square off against Bayside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
