Basketball Game Preview: Lake Park-Audubon Raiders vs. Henning Hornets

Lake Park-Audubon is 1-6 against Henning since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lake Park-Audubon Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Henning Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Lake Park-Audubon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Lake Park-Audubon was able to grind out a solid victory over Ada-Borup/Norman County West, taking the game 50-39.

Meanwhile, Henning had to suffer through a 67-30 loss at the hands of New York Mills. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Eagles are ranked 172nd).

Lake Park-Audubon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Henning, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Lake Park-Audubon beat Henning 64-54 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Lake Park-Audubon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Henning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
