Softball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View managed to slip by Roma the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 11-3 to the Gladiators on Thursday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Valley View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Fernandez De Lara, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Danna Cantu also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Roma, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Valley View will host La Joya at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Roma, they will welcome Porter at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
