Browne has gone 5-0 against South Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Browne Bruins will look to defend their home pitch against the South Mountain Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Browne has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while South Mountain will come in with six straight victories.

On Tuesday, Browne didn't have quite enough to beat Hamilton and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Huskies are ranked tenth).

Browne's goal came courtesy of Anthony Hernadez, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, South Mountain earned a 3-1 win over Cortez on Thursday.

South Mountain's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Browne, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Browne was able to grind out a solid win over South Mountain in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, winning 6-4. Will Browne repeat their success, or does South Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
