Volleyball Recap: Arvada West Takes Down Ranked Legacy

Arvada West faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lightning. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Arvada West walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvada West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Giuseppe Licata, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Licata has posted over his last seven games.

Arvada West's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arvada West will take on Forge Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Legacy, they will face off against Denver East at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
