Volleyball Recap: Rockville Wins Going Away Against Capital Prep

Rockville won the last time they faced Capital Prep and things went their way on Monday too. The Rams blew past the Trailblazers 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Rockville took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-8.

Their offense was headlined by Jack Stein and Deniz Yagtu, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Tibor Elcsics and his five assists. Tommy Glinski controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Rockville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. As for Capital Prep, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockville will head out to take on Cheney Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Capital Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodstock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on May 2.
