Softball Game Preview: Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies vs. Rimrock Raiders

The Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies will venture away from home to take on the Rimrock Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Greenleaf Friends Academy and 13 for Rimrock.

Greenleaf Friends Academy had taken Notus down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Pirates, falling 20-3.

Greenleaf Friends Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Griffee, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Griffee has got this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Rimrock was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to Glenns Ferry.

Rimrock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Greenleaf Friends Academy took their victory against Rimrock in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
