Basketball Recap: Rim of the World Takes a Loss

Rim of the World was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Moreno Valley Vikings and fell 75-35.

Alex Ramirez and Nahum Duran certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ramirez went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points, while Duran posted five points. Another player making a difference was Collin Johnstone, who had five points.

Moreno Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Valenzuela, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alijah Maloid, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 17 points.

Rim of the World's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Moreno Valley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Rim of the World has already played their next matchup, a 54-33 defeat against Vista del Lago on the 7th. As for Moreno Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-28 win against Jurupa Valley on the 7th.
