After a string of three wins, Carlmont's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders. The Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Carlmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Tofigh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Carlmont now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Archbishop Riordan, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-17-1.

Looking ahead, Carlmont will be playing at home against Sequoia at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Archbishop Riordan, they will head out to square off against Junipero Serra at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
