Recap: Westtown vs. Friends' Central
Westtown and Friends' Central squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly Westtown had to settle for second. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the. While losing is never fun, Westtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Friends' Central is ranked 21st).
It was another big night for Muhsin Muhammad, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds for Friends' Central. Muhammad is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fazl Oshodi, who scored 15 points.
Westtown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Friends' Central, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4.
Westtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Friends' Central, they will take on Academy of the New Church at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of the New Church has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,664 points over their last 22 games.
